Dialectical Behavioural Therapy is a therapy designed to help people suffering from mood disorders as well as those who need to change patterns of behaviour that are not helpful, such as self-harm. Part of the therapy id learning to use specific skills that are broken down into four skill modules: core mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance.
This Oyster-card sized handbook summarises these skills to allow one to access relevant skills, problem solving techniques and coping mechanisms when needed. Book can be bought on request for a fiver and is printed on 80 gsm laserjet, i.e. copier paper, to keep it cheap and easy.
